A certain quality of light infuses my days, and I can’t help but fall into it.
These mountains we live across from pour the evenings over us, wash us in mists and sunsets, reflect the first light of each new day’s dawn.
This is summer, this letting go of extraneous matters and responsibilities, this filling up of light, this wordless pull to the outside that quiets the core of my being.
What a view Katie. Nice to see a post from you – I know you’re busy with your hands in the dirt! 🙂

Thanks! I’ve been enjoying your posts the last few weeks–those raspberries, and a knit sweater! I’m impressed. Hope you are all having a lovely start to your week 🙂

I love this. I’m really trying to pare down the extraneous this summer. Last summer found me inside too much.

I’m having a hard time getting words out onto paper, using more of my writing time to imagine and stare into the view lately. With so much going on in the farm fields, it’s so freeing to give myself that permission to take the space to imagine, knowing it will all come out in words eventually. I hope you find more time out in the sun (or rain? here’s to a sunnier July…)
